| Greeting and thanks in advance for your comments/thoughts. My car is going in shortly for a full repaint and I’m still trying to nail down how to achieve the best OEM look. After some exhaustive searches on TT.net concerning the pearl paints on our cars, it appears there's only a few OEM colors where a true 3 stage paint process....one of them being the White Glacier Pearl and possibly the yellow? To this end, the other colors even though called pearl, are still only a base and clear coat and not a function of a 3 stage paint process? If the above is true, can anyone explain with certainty how Nissan achieved the pearl? Is it in the clear coat as I suspect...and if so, what's added and how much? The paint shop doing the work for me mixed up a sample…and yep it’s the same color, but what I didn’t detect was the pearl effect, which might again be a function of the clear coat or the piece of card board they sprayed the paint sample on? Thanks much,
